Joseph Gordon-Levitt drops out of Django Unchained

04.05.2012

Just when we started to get good news from the set of DJANGO UNCHAINED, we get some bad news.

Due to scheduling conflicts, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has dropped out of the Tarantino film. While his role was reportedly minor, it is sad to see another good actor leave the Tarantino movie. No word yet on who will be replacing Gordon-Levitt, but they will have to cast it soon since the film is due in theaters this Christmas.

If you are asking yourself what kind of fool would drop out of a Tarantino movie, know that it was for a good reason. Gordon-Levitt is about to begin his directorial debut DON JON'S ADDICTION, a comedy he will star in as well alongside Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore.

DJANGO UNCHAINED still retains an amazing cast which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson.

Extra Tidbit: The choice was between Tarantino and Scarlet?? I do not envy making that decision one bit.

That's 1 of the very few understandable reasons for someone to bail from a Tarantino film.

But yeah, pretty bad news.

The choice would be easy: Do the Tarantino flick and Scarlet will come to you. SOLVED.

But yeah, damn would that would be hard to leave. Even Bronagh Gallagher is thanking her lucky stars everyday to have been cast as the bong hitting Trudi in Pulp Fiction.

Noooooooo!

Awful news. One of the most talented actors of his generation - as silly as it sounds I've been a fan of his since 3rd Rock. I was really excited to see what he would do with a Tarantino role, even if it was just a minor one.

Still, at least Leo is still attached. Very curious to see him play a villain. Another hugely talented actor but he's gotten sorta pigeon-holed lately so I'd like to see him tackle a new type of role.
