Poor Josh Brolin... He has no idea what he's done. And while I wish I could help him somehow, I don't know that I want to step in the path of the swarm that is coming for him.

In a recent interview with Moviefone, Brolin got to talking about AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (or whatever the hell they eventually decide to call both of those films) and how excited he is about how the Marvel Cinematic Universe has built to this showdown between Thanos and basically everyone else. And unfortunately for him, he dropped one tidbit of information that is sure to haunt him for the next couple of years.

Yeah, I sat at a table and I listened to the story from beginning to end, which was … you know, sometimes you go around and you go, ‘Oh, it’s a great movie. Or this is a great experience,; and you kind of know that it’s not. This is the opposite…These stories … these Avengers stories all come down to this conclusion, and that’s our involvement. Basically, my character against everybody. And it’s really fun what they’ve chosen to do with the story. I think it’s brilliant, personally. I was blown away, and had goose pimples pretty much 50% of the time that I was listening to what was going on, and pretty amazed that I’m going to be involved in it. So it’s a big thing that’s coming up.

Yep, you read that correctly. Josh Brolin knows all of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.

And now he should prepare to be hounded by questions and bombarded with requests to reveal something, anything... no amount is too small, as long as it's more than zero. I wish his ringing endorsement of what he heard was enough, but, being one of the very few who has acknowledged to knowing stuff, you know that's not enough meat to satisfy the hungry.

Sorry, Josh... But that's what the vague talking points are for. Learn them. Know them. Live them.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR -PART ONE is first out of the gate for the two-parter for obvious reasons on May 4, 2018.

He is a confused man...

He either just willingly opened a can of worms for attention or just unknowingly opened himself up to questions about these movies for the next few years...

Josh Brolin strikes me as the kind of guy who won't gossip about shit and would tell a reporter to FO if he doesn't like a question

Will there be....

Will there be Marvel burn out by that point? Or comic based movies in general? CA: CW had so much going on and futures setup, it didn't feel like a CA movie.

I feel that Infinity War will be the beginning of Superhero Movie Burnout. I think most people are sticking with the genre no matter what to see the pay off for the MCU with Infinity Wars 1&2. After that comes out and the past decade of the MCU has reached it's culmination, people will have gained their satisfaction with the product and be ready to move on to something else.

Obviously excited for this, but we still have a way to go until the full on attack of him going head to head with the Avengers. I do hope we get to see some part and/or a sample of his plan/destruction in Thor: Ragnarok, and/or Guardians 2.

Like Voorhees said, who cares? So what? He's just bringing more attention to him and the film. He's not gonna spilled the beans on the story.
