Julianne Moore is in talks to play the villain of Kingsman 2

Matthew Vaughn's KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE was one of several movies released last year that proved there's an audience for R-rated entertainment, so following that up with a sequel (a la KICK-ASS) was kind of a no-brainer. Fortunately for us, it looks as though Vaughn is returning to the director's chair to give the charismatic Taron Egerton more ass-kicking to do. If The Hollywood Reporter is to be believed, one of those asses will be that of Julianne Moore.

Word on the street is that Moore is in talks to sign on as a villain in KINGSMAN 2, and that production is looking to gear up around May. Moore is a hell of an actor, so I'm sure she'll ham it up appropriately. I'm definitely in the minority in that I found KINGSMAN to be a little bit immature for my tastes, but maybe I'm just being an old man about it. I will miss Colin Firth, but I'm curious to see how they're going to approach an international story this time around.

KINGSMAN 2 is aiming to shoot this summer.
