Jumanji 2 moves ahead
The long in the tooth sequel to JUMANJI that Sony can never seem to get off the ground has gotten a boost of life from director Dennis Dugan (BIG DADDY). Dugan pitched an idea to Sony execs who loved his fresh take on the material and are in discussions with ICE AGE writer Peter Ackerman to develop the idea into a workable script. The original film was a major hit worldwide and almost immediately discussions of a sequel began. But countless dollars and scripts later, little progress was made. The studio is expected to court star Robin Williams to return but no word on whether Kirsten Dunst will show up in a tight, wet shirt that reveals a little nippage.
