Kiersey Clemons will be playing Barry Allen's friend in THE FLASH.

Coming off roles in DOPE and NEIGHBORS 2, Clemons is closing her deal to play the female lead of Iris West in the feature film version of THE FLASH for the DC Cinematic Universe. West is a bit of a no-nonsense journalist and also happens to be good friends with Barry Allen, the true identity of The Flash – played by Ezra Miller

Rick Famuyiwa is now at the helm for the movie, after Seth Grahame-Smith parted ways with Warner Bros. over creative differences. And with this casting choice, he appears to be getting on solid ground with THE FLASH still set to start production on-time later this year, apparently keeping Grahame-Smith's most recent draft of the script.

THE FLASH is still scheduled for a March 16, 2018 release date, but you can find Miller's next appearance as Barry Allen in JUSTICE LEAGUE, which opens on November 17, 2017.
