King Corn trailer

Every once in a while I like to veer away from the major studios, the A-List stars, the special effects, the adaptations and sequels, and steer you towards a potential little gem of a film that might have skipped your radar if it weren’t for a site like this. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do by pointing you towards the trailer for a documentary called KING CORN, which you can check out HERE.

Essentially, the film is an investigation on a major component of the North American diet that we usually don’t lend much credence to: corn. The synopsis is available over at Apple once you click the link, but it reminded me of SUPER SIZE ME, and made me feel guilty for not only the hamburger and fries I ate after watching it, but also for the three rolls of blubber that currently embrace my torso as I write this. Anyway, this looks like a solid documentary so checking out the trailer couldn’t hurt.

Extra Tidbit: More than 150 hours of footage were cut down to the final 90 minutes you see on screen.
