Before Mark Forster (MONSTER’S BALL) wades his feet in one of the grandest film franchises ever (the one with the British spy), he’s got a small little picture coming out that certainly seems like it will grab some attention when Oscar season rolls around. THE KITE RUNNER is based on the best-selling novel by Khaled Hosseini and is about a man who returns to his native Afghanistan while it’s under Taliban rule, to help the son of an old friend. The script was adapted by David Benioff, who also wrote TROY and the upcoming WOLVERINE. I like this poster very much, and I especially like the tagline ‘there is a way to be good again.’ If this is true, boy oh boy do I need to find it. THE KITE RUNNER opens on November 2nd.
