Kung Fu Panda and Puss in Booth both get trailerized

Mar. 4, 2011by: Mike Sampson

This may sound odd but I'm really looking forward to KUNG FU PANDA 2. I enjoyed the original a lot and the early test footage I saw of that film in 3D has me excited to see what they'll do with the format in the sequel. As for PUSS IN BOOTS, I'm decidedly less excited. Puss was great as a supporting character but I was never convinced he could carry his own movie. The fact that they gave him the DreamWorks cliche "strut your stuff to pop music" trailer already is making me cringe.

Both trailers will be in theaters this weekend with RANGO but you can check out both of them below. What do you think?

Hey JoBlo...

Maybe spend a little less time thinking up comedy gems for your speech bubble ("I've got a beastly in my pants." solid comedy gold) and a little more time proofreading.

Misspelling the title of a movie in the title of the article? Seriously?

'Puss in Booth' is the long-awaited sequel to 'Phone Booth', this time focusing on an animated cat that is being held hostage in a photo booth by a sniper played by Corey Feldman. Apparently it'll be a series of films with a different cast member of 'The Lost Boys' playing the sniper each time. 'John Wilkes Booth' is the rumored third installment, with the character being confined to a theater box by Alex Winter.

Where is Miguelito when you need him? I need a good laugh. Back to topic though, Bring on the panda but the Shrek spinoff is unneeded.

am I just seeing things, or was Po holding a makeshift boom box in the end of that trailer?

Shelman . . .

It's called a teaser. Quit being an internet cliche.

As for the trailers, KUNG FU PANDA looks cute. I liked the first one; hopefully this one will be as good. As for PUSS, I'm indifferent, but I hate DreamWorks' use of lame pop numbers in their advertising. It's just annoying.

wow, ok

that Dragon joke in Kung Fu Panda was pretty funny

and the animation looks fantastic in Puss in Boots. These movies look pretty good so far.

Now all we need is official "Tintin" and "Happy Feet 2" Trailers

Kung Fu Panda looks like it could be good.. Hopefully it will be good cause Jack Black needs to star in something big soon. Not sure about Pus in Boots. We haven't seen really anything about the movie yet. Hopefully it will put him in some big adventure where we get to meet some new cool characters. guess we will see.

More trailers that show nothing.

I did not understand why Kung Fu Panda was so big, & Puss in Boots was going to be direct-to-DVD, so I'm not convinced of either. I'm sick of trailers that show nothing too. They are a waste of time. You don't learn anything & your opinion doesn't change one way or the other.

wasn't fond of original kung fu panda, but the sequel trailer looks ok, unless what was seen are the only fun parts.

puss in boots looks awful!
