Sony's upcoming comic book adaptation of Valiant's BLOODSHOT starring Vin Diesel has locked and loaded a new cast member today with the addition of Lamorne Morris. Known mostly for his role as Winston Bishop on Fox's NEW GIRL starring Zooey Deschanel, Morris is now set to play the part of Wilfred Wigans, a young scientist who becomes Bloodshot's unlikely ally. Morris is the latest addition to the project's growing cast, which includes Eiza Gonzalez (ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, BABY DRIVER), Sam Heughan (OUTLANDER), Talulah Riley (INCEPTION, TV's WESTWORLD), Alex Hernandez(Netflix's HEMLOCK GROVE), Toby Kebbell (DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) and Michael Sheen (THE QUEEN, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS).

Directing BLOODSHOT as his first feature-length debut is Dave Wilson, who in the past has worked as a visual effects engineer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON as well as several video games, including HALO WARS, BIOSHOCK INFINITE, THE ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE, and more. Based on the Valiant Comics character and series, BLOODSHOT revolves around Ray Garrison a.k.a. Bloodshot (Diesel), a mortally wounded soldier who is resurrected with cutting-edge nanotechnology and tasked with rounding up super-powered outcasts known as Harbingers. With his memory wiped clean, Garrison struggles to recall his former life while coming to grips with the reality of him being turned into a living weapon.

BLOODSHOT is currently in pre-production with an expected release date slated for February 21, 2020. Should the sci-fi fantasy action flick become a success, more films featuring the Bloodshot character are expected to follow.
