Joshua Jackson ("Fringe") is taking the controls of UFO, a feature based on the old live-action series from puppeteer Gerry Anderson ("Thunderbirds", "Fireball XL5"). Jackson plays a pilot for the secret high-tech organization called SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization, of course), and he'll obviously need a second-in-command.

The film's director Matthew Gratzner wants that to be healthy hottie Ali Larter ("Heroes", RESIDENT EVIL EXTINCTION). As he tells Forbidden Planet, "For the character of [Colonel] Virginia Lake, we've talked to Ali Larter, who's very interested. I've actually met with her, and I think she would be a great addition to the picture. Lake is very strong and obviously also very feminine, and Ali Larter definitely encompasses that." Oh, agreed!

The effusive filmmaker also discusses a number of other topics related to his UFO, including other casting issues, purple hair, the prospect of a trilogy, special effects, the "retro factor", and the evil extraterrestrials' plans for harvesting human body parts. Check out the lengthy article RIGHT HERE.

Meanwhile, for those who can appreciate fantastic buttocks, you're welcome:

Extra Tidbit: Larter was in a movie called THREE-WAY that most definitely did not live up to the title.

NO trilogy.
The director lost me when he said trilogy. Not everything should be a trilogy. I'd rather see 3 cool original films from one director, than 3 similar films in a trilogy from the same guy.
