Latest clip from Jerome Sable’s Stage Fright, starring Meat Loaf, nails it!

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

Other than THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA, I haven't really dug too many musical horror flicks. Jerome Sable's STAGE FRIGHT looks rather fun, though, and I plan on checking it out soon now that it's available on VOD (with a theatrical release scheduled for May 9). Today we have a new clip that nails it…quite literally. Here's hoping STAGE FRIGHT delivers lots of bloody death scenes like this one!

STAGE FRIGHT is about a starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson who aspires to follow in the footsteps of her Broadway diva mother. Instead she's stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp. Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theater.

The film stars Allie MacDonald and Douglas Smith, with Minnie Driver and Meat Loaf, and was produced by Ari Lantos and Jonas Bell Pasht of Serendipity Point Films. Magnet has released the film on iTunes and On Demand and is following with a theatrical release on May 9.
