UPDATE: We've removed the images at the request of the studio.

Filming wrapped on Ridley Scott's ALIEN: COVENANT about 3 months ago, but that hasn't stopped the trickle of information making its way to fans. We've heard in the past that COVENANT will be a much scarier affair, and if the following leaked set pictures are to be believed, that certainly looks to be the case. Straight from So Is It Any Good? are some images that show off a classic looking monster, as well as some various other creature designs and sets. Take a look!

Word on the street is that COVENANT will show off a new type of Alien called a Neomorph. Perhaps the above pictures show this creature, or at least a variation of how this creature came to be. It's a little reminiscent of the scene in ALIEN: RESURRECTION where Ripley encounters her failed clones. Hopefully the comparisons stop there, and COVENANT delivers more of what fans were looking for with PROMETHEUS.

ALIEN: COVENANT will open in theaters on August 4, 2017.

Loved the first one; solid storytelling and visually fantastic to look at. I just hope the storyline this time gives us more answers than questions.

Great story, original, solid cast, beautiful film. Sometimes people expect too much like the wheel will be reinvented our something. People who hate on Prometheus are just being spoiled snobs is all

They claim it will be scarier but it will be an actual storyline that makes sense without leaving more questions than answers? I'll give this movie a chance but if it's anything like the previous film then count me out on the next film.

Hell Yes!

Prometheus was one of the best sci-fi movies in the last decade. Can't wait for this sequel! I welcome all hater comments with a big smile. I mostly welcome the ''it was flawed'' comments and my other favorite is the back handed compliment where they say ''I didn't like it but...'' or ''its wasn't my cup of tea''. Classic no imagination hater comments, so funny. Also maybe the best looking movie visually speaking in the last 15 years. 3-D IMAX was pretty awesome.

H.R. Giger(responsible for the look of the first Alien)'s art is brilliant in the way he mixed mechanics and flesh. His artwork is very sexual and I'm happy they are carrying that aspect over in this new film!
