Lex wants bailout

03.12.2009

The current financial crisis really is affecting everyone. It's impact is so far reaching, in fact, that it's starting to affect even fictional companies like LexCorp and CEO Lex Luthor, well known Superman arch-nemesis, must resort to pleading with president Obama on behalf of his company for a bailout. Listen to the poor guy below.

Extra Tidbit: No offense to Kevin Spacey but Jon Hamm as Lex Luthor in the Superman reboot and/or sequel? That's not half-bad.

@Call me Indiana

"And no offense to Hamm, but nobody can replace Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor."

I'm sorry, but spacey's (awesome actor) lex luthor was basically an impression of gene hackman's lex luthor. thats kinda like saying... star wars episode 1 - 3 is the best star wars trilogy ever!

plus everyone knows michael rosenbaum is the best lex of all time... or yul brenner.

Agree with lasrever - why not Hamm as Supes? I can dig that. Don't say "too old"... (and I'm guessing the bald cap is supposed to be bad)

Not bad. I'd be interested to see if they could do one based on Wayne Enterprises or Stark Industries also.

other way around

Great Video..

In all seriousness John Hamm should be the next Superman!!! come on think about it.. Do Superman like he was done in the old serials. No more modern day Superman bring him back to the 40's!!

I didn't find that funny at all actually. Except at the end when he's like "Fucking guy" I chuckled a little bit. Maybe that awful bald cap at something to do with it--they really couldn't do any better than that?

Jon Hamm irritates me

Jon Hamm - I don't necessarily dislike him, but every time I see him, I just feel somewhat annoyed. I think he's too...self-conscious? I feel like he's never really acting, just playing himself, but in a reserved fashion, like he's too afraid to really put himself out there. Even in this clip you cans see it. And yes, "Mad Men" is a good show, but the fact that he's unlikeable is an advantage to the show. I can't stand watching him in anything outside of it.

is that the best bald cap they could get?

Despite that, pretty funny stuff. I vote that Hamm play Superman if WB goes with an older version of the character for the reboot. He's obviously into the movie mythology.
