Neeson and Ribisi

Seth MacFarlane‘s A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST is putting together a pretty impressive cast. They snagged Charlize Theron for a part a while ago and most recently Amanda Seyfried agreed to be in the film.

Today we have double casting news about the western comedy. First up, Deadline is reporting that Giovanni Ribisi has joined the cast as Edward, the best friend to Seth MacFarlane‘s character Albert. Edward is a shoe repairman that is frustrated that even though his girlfriend is a prostitute he isn’t getting laid.

Next, THR has an exclusive that Liam Neeson is in negotiations to join the production as well. Neeson would be playing Charlize Theron‘s outlaw husband in the film and an antagonist to Albert.

Although these are two excellent additions to A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST…I’m not feeling this movie. I’m not going to write off a film that is only in pre-production (unless it’s a Tyler Perry movie) but I just don’t have any enthusiasm for this film. Ribisi is always great and it should be fun to see Neeson in a full on comedy but overall I’m just not excited for this movie like I thought I would. Maybe a good trailer can change that.

Production on A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST should start in May.

Plot:

A cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend (Seyfried) leave him for another man. When a mysterious woman (Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage. But when her outlaw husband (Neeson) arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his new-found courage to the test.
