Liam Neeson stars in thriller Hard Powder, somehow not about cocaine

Liam Neeson continues to star in movies that would normally be direct-to-DVD trash if it weren't for his charisma and commitment to finding a soul and dimensionality within stock, one-dimensional archetypes. It's why TAKEN and so many of his other projects work, when they by all accounts shouldn't.

His next one is called HARD POWDER, and instead of being a reference to cocaine (imagine a coked-up Liam Neeson shooting bottle rockets?) it instead refers to snow. Is this a stealth sequel to HARD RAIN? Anyway, the plot synopsis, according to The Hollywood Reporter is about:

Nels (Neeson), an upright snowplow driver in a glitzy Colorado ski town whose life is turned upside down when his son is murdered by the powerful local drug kingpin. He then seeks to dismantle the cartel, but his vengeful crusade sparks a turf war between a Viking gangster and a Native American mafia boss.

That sounds gonzo goofy, and I'm into it.

But what do you Schmoes think? You down for some more Liam Neeson geriatric action? Sound off below!
