I think Clive Barkers books The Great and Secret Show, and Imajica should be made into a movie/ miniseries respectively. TGASS was one of the best stories I have ever read and would make an awesome movie. It's sequel Everville was so-so and went a little more off the deep end than I was hoping, but the original novel is still one of the best. And Imajica... well, that is still one of the best stories I have ever had the honor of reading in a 1000+ page format. Ranks up there with The Stand and

This could be amazing, or a total epic failure. Either way, it's too good not to eventually get the movie treatment.

Why would anyone who likes the Dark Tower series want to see it made into a worthless movie or TV show? Do you really think it would be any good, when studios are so concerned about money they force everything into being PG-13? On the flip side, they really should make a movie or whatever out of pride prejudice and zombies. Maybe that way people who endlessly name drop it would actually see what a piece of shit it (and any 'mashup'' for that matter) really is.

My list

There is a series of books from an Australian author named Sara Douglass that is so epic that if done properly could be put right up there with LoTR. The books in total are 12. They are then divided into trilogies that make up the whole. The first book of the first trilogy is The Wayfarer Redemption. They are by far the greatest books I've ever read and they kept me turning the pages even if I had to get up early for work in the morning.

Another book that I'd like to see made into a movie is Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith. Set in the Stalin-era Russia, it is a suspense/murder mystery with an awesome twist at the end. Loved that one as well.

They should go with just a straight HBO series for Dark Tower. Having both Game of Thrones and Dark Tower on would make the network can't-miss-TV.

Also I'd add Neuromancer to this list

Last I heard, Vincenzo Natali is in preproduction for Neuromancer.

Survivor, Bone & The Dark Tower series are all favorites of mine. With the right production team I think all of them could be spectacular.

THANK YOU! Weird timing, as I am about 3/4 of the way through it right now, and keep thinking what a great movie it'll make!
