Lohan fades to Black

Lindsey Lohan has signed on to her first major project since heading off to rehab with a role in the upcoming Jack Black comedy YE OLDE TIMES. Lohan will co-star with Black in the film about a group of competing Renaissance Faire actors. Also cast in the film are Cary Elwes, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Orlando Jones and Lohan's idol Ann Margaret. The film was written and will be directed by Robert A. White who worked with Black on the 2001 short comedy "Frank's Book." It's unclear exactly who Lohan will play and exactly how large her role will be. Much has been made of Lindsey's WTF-worthy decision to pose nude for New York magazine and how it would help or hurt her career. Not sure whether whipping out her boobs helped her get this role or not but if it gets her on the straight and narrow again, then so be it. I have to say that if Lohan pulls a Drew Barrymore-like turnaround, I'd be stunned (in a good way). OLDE TIMES is scheduled to film this April after Black wraps work on the Judd Apatow produced comedy YEAR ONE. Lohan has the tango drama DARE TO LOVE ME (oy...) in the can and set for release sometime this year.

Extra Tidbit: Lohan was scheduled to join the cast of "Ugly Betty" for an extended stint but that was dropped due to the writers' strike.
