London Has Fallen gets a destructive teaser poster

05.08.2015

A few years ago, two Presidential action movies were released. While WHITE HOUSE DOWN seemed to have the better budget behind it, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN had the benefit of opening months earlier in theaters. A modest hit, it was successful enough to warrant an internationally set sequel that takes the political explosions across the pond.

While we have yet to see a trailer for LONDON HAS FALLEN, the newly released international teaser poster comes just as England completes one of the most contentious elections in recent memory. Where the first film used the White House as the focal point for devastation, this poster uses the symbol of Big Ben to get across the point that no landmark is safe from terrorists bent on crossing Gerard Butler the wrong way.

The sequel to the worldwide smash hit “Olympus Has Fallen,” a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.

OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN came from director Antoine Fuqua who has gone on to bigger and more marquee projects like THE EQUALIZER and the upcoming sports drama SOUTHPAW. Moving to the less known Babak Najafi should make for some intriguing changes.

LONDON HAS FALLEN opens on October 2, 2015.

My last pay check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. This is what I do... www.jobs-review.com

I liked White House Down better. I rather see a sequel to that than this.

I'm ready for this...

But what made me hate the first one was the stupid I save the world in seconds plot. I hate that shit always in these movies. For once can they end the fuckin movie with out anyone being saved and all. We all know if this ever happen in reality it would never end like that. I hate HAPPY ENDINGS. So hopefully this will have a much much darker ending.

Olympus Has Fallen was way better than I expected it to be. Thoroughly entertained by the whole 'Die Hard in the White House' vibe.

I love movies like this pure mindless fun. I don't always need bullshit indie movies that half the time are complete shit.

let's just hope

the poster is actually representative of the movie's effects, because I thought the special effects in the original were horrible and ruined the movie by being so bad

I hate to say it but

Can someone not breathe something new into these particular type of films. Maybe cross-pollinate genres. Where, the fuck, is a film based on Jonathan Maberry's Joe Ledger series. I was sold on Patient Zero and I was literally on the edge of my seat reading Predator One. We are 7 bestseller books in with another next year and nothing? I can watch these type of production line movies for fun but with a writer who creates the complexity of Clancy and combines it with relentlessness of Matthew

Glad to find another Ledger fan here! I was reading through the whole series for the last few months and just finished Predator One last week. This has become one of my most favorite Action-Thriller series ever! Crossing 24 with X-Files was a grand idea imo and I'm also eagerly waiting for a film adaptation. Not to mention some of the characters were described outright with similarities with movie stars (Bunny looks like bigger version of Chris Hemsworth, Brick looks like Ving Rhames, Aunty

If done properly, Joe Ledger series has the potential to be the next summer blockbuster action series like Mission: Impossible. Although I still can't imagine who can be a good Ledger? I always envision him as the batshit crazy Mel Gibson as Martin Riggs from Lethal Weapon movies, but unfortunately that can't be possible now.

Sounds like the exact same plot to a James Patterson novel called step on a crack
