London Has Fallen loses director six weeks before filming begins

Well this is what I call a sticky situation! With shooting just six weeks away, director Fredrik Bond has left LONDON HAS FALLEN, the sequel to 2013's surprise action movie OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN. A spokesperson for the company confirmed Bond’s exit was due to "creative differences". While the split is said to be amicable, there is speculation that the differences in question had to do with the movies fast-paced schedule. Bond only joined the movie in August and shooting was set to begin at the end of October; if shooting will still make the date is yet to be determined.

Bond’s last and only feature was CHARLIE COUNTRYMAN starring Shia LaBeouf, which had its issues but wasn’t unwatchable as many claim, so it's a shame he didn't get a chance to tackle this actioner. For LONDON, we are still expected to see the returning faces of Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett and Melissa Leo. Sources say producers Mark Gill and Butler hope to have a new director in the next 72 hours.

Anyone have a suggestion for them? I’m going to toss out Gareth Evans’ (THE RAID) name because I think he’s awesome enough to save this sequel from itself.
