Lost’s Josh Holloway and Kick-Ass kid Aaron Johnson up for Marvel movie roles?

Holy spandex speculation! Listen up, true believers: could upcoming Marvel movies have a couple of new actors?

The current riders of the rumor-go-round are KICK-ASS star/costumed punching bag Aaron Johnson, who was spotted meeting with Matthew Vaughn and new Professor X James McAvoy, immediately leading to theories that the actor could appear in Vaughn’s mutant prequel X-MEN: FIRST CLASS.

Would Johnson slip on groovy red shades to play kid Cyclops? The young pre-furry Beast? Another mutant student at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters? Or was he just innocently grabbing a nosh with his former director?

Open casting for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is currently underway.

Meanwhile, “Lost” dreamy haircut/bad-boy Josh Holloway has reportedly met with Marvel about “a lead role” for one of their upcoming movies. There are only guesses as to who he might conceivably play: Hank Pym/Ant-man or Hawkeye in the AVENGERS movie? Or perhaps “Dum Dum” Dugan in CAPTAIN AMERICA (and then S.H.I.E.L.D.)? Maybe something in the otherwise-teenaged RUNAWAYS? Hellfire, could he be the new Johnny Blaze over at Sony’s GHOST RIDER sequel/reboot?

Or is there another major part in an impending project we don’t know about? And Joss Whedon is supposedly still working on the script for AVENGERS (and, in fact, was never even officially announced as doing the movie) — so would he meet with actors already, even though the movie won’t start production until next year?

Stay tuned! Excelsior! And so on.
