As if the cast of Stallone's THE EXPENDABLES couldn't get any better, looks like he's trying to get Dolph Lundgren to join the cast too. Speaking to Review Nation he said that he was "close" to getting Lundgren, with that smile slapped across his face like a kid at Christmas. THE EXPENDABLES, if you haven't been following, is a movie Stallone wrote and will direct and star in, alongside Jet Li and Jason Statham, about a bunch of mercs headed to South America to overthrow a dictator.

Is getting Lundgren into this thing a good idea? I don't know, let me put the question to you a different way. Would you enjoy sitting in the cinema with a boner spawned entirely by the presence of men?

Thank god Arnold Schwarzenegger's not in this movie b/c I think it would mark the coming of the 4 horseman of the Apocalypse.



I'm still debating on whether or not it would be worth it.

Lundgren should move back into the light...he was fantastic as the longhaired religious creep in Johnny Mnemonic. He still brings such a striking presence to the screen, its a shame to waste his talents. Van Damme is not nearyl as interesting without his youthful charm, Stallone looks more swollen than imposing, Lambert turned into a flabby bore ages ago.

Lundgren, YES!!!
This is great news. I've seen nearly all 50 of Lundgren's movies. He's always been on my A-list. I hope he does this and won't mind co-starring.



All of you check out Men of War, if you went to see an awesome movie about mercs starring him, Kano, and Crazy Eyes.

I have been waiting for this...
I was telling my father the other day, who's big on any action movie he can get his hands on (crap or not)...



I told him that since Lundgren's flicks are getting progressively better, and Stallone is back (i have actually seen the new Rambo sold out at wal-mart at times) a re-uniting of the two would make for excellent on screen chemistry again.

If their presence could be as cool as it was when Lundgren had virtually no lines in Rocky 4, it'd be bad-ass to see he and Sallone actually in a movie where they are both speaking and kicking ass in their own right.



Will Lundgren be part of Stallone's team, or will he be a bad guy?



I hope he's a good guy, an I hope Jet Li is hired muscle for the villain.



This movie is also starting to remind me of UNCOMMON VALOR.

this is gonna be the greatest action figure movie of all-time. I can't wait.

QUITE THE SAUSAGE FEST
Also as a heterosexual male I do find these overblown testosterone fandangos to be cathartic and a boat load of fun. Looks like lots of C4 and M16, UZI, AK47 type shoot em & blow em up stuff. They should toss in Van Damme along with Brucey. Get all the biggies in there.

Honestly, as a heterosexual man, I would not just be okay with it but would throw my back out in an attempt to taste said boner. No, that may not be the most "logical" thing, but neither is this movie not having been made sooner.

They're actually headed to South AMERICA.



Felt I had to point that out since I live in South Africa (Cape Town, to be precise) and if they WERE in fact coming here... well, I'd have to try and escape before they kick my dictatorial ass.
