Lupita Nyong'o already has a place in the STAR WARS Galaxy under her belt, so why not add a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to her resume? Nyong'o will be doing just that, signing on for a major part in BLACK PANTHER.

Although her specific character has not been revealed at this moment, Nyong'o is believed to be the love interest of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa/Black Panther who was recently introduced to us in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. While the very term "love interest" can be enough to roll your eyes given the history of such a character trope, one has to believe there is a bit more meat to whoever Nyong'o would be playing in order to attract her to the project to begin with. She doesn't strike me as the damsel in distress type.

So go ahead and start placing your bets… Which character from the Marvel Universe with Black Panther history might Lupita Nyong'o be playing?

BLACK PANTHER opens in theaters on February 16, 2018.
