Magic abounds in new Doctor Strange trailer

08.09.2016

With only three months to go we should really start to see promotion for DOCTOR STRANGE liven up, as more footage and images start pouring out of the seams. And, of course, why not start that ball rolling than by putting out a new trailer during the summer Olympics—a time slot that only exists once every four years.

I don't like to say much about footage, but here I will say there's not a whole lot of new footage, acting more like a shortened version of the second trailer released around the time of Comic-Con last month..

But take a look for yourself!

I wasn’t sure about this movie to begin with, mostly because of director Scott Derrickson. I’m a huge fan of SINISTER, but other than that the man hasn’t really blown me away, and I thought him a weird choice to helm such a unique film. But I said the same thing about James Gunn and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, but I have yet to remove the foot from my mouth on that one. Now, with this film, I think we are going to see something the likes which we haven’t before in the MCU: something magical. We’ve had wondrous and thrilling, but never something truly out-of-this-dimension in the literal sense, and with every new piece of footage DOCTOR STRANGE looks like it will break that mold.

DOCTOR STRANGE enters our realm November 4 with Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and more.

Narratively? I'm sure he could. Will the studios ever let it happen? No way.

Only if it was true, but no. Fox makes way too much money off of the X-Men. They'll continue to hold onto those rights i'm afraid until we're old men.

Not sure why they're calling it a third trailer when its just clips snipped from the previous one. Should just be an extended TV spot

I'm a huge movie of everything Scott Derickson didn't do.....does Joblo need to hire someone to fact check and spell check their writers? When he wrote this article, he was probably thinking [link] tomato....same difference."

Writing

Scott Derrickson had nothing to do with Insidious, as far as I can tell, so it's odd to credit him for it.

As ads on joblo.com become increasingly intrusive, covering content and slowing page-loading times, the sloppiness of the writing is becoming more and more of an issue. Obviously ads are necessary to keep the lights on, but when articles are riddled with typos, incorrect information, and nonsense sentences ("I don't like to say much about footage, but here I will say there's not a

Obviously ads are necessary to keep the lights on, but when articles are riddled with typos, incorrect information, and nonsense sentences ("I don't like to say much about footage, but here I will say there's not a whole lot of new footage" or "And, of course, why not start that ball rolling than by putting out a new trailer") it becomes insulting to those of us who keep coming back to this site for movie news.

I agree man, I'm not singling out Matt Rooney in particular, and I'm sure all the JoBlo writers are great people in real life, but the often-sloppy writing (both in terms of typos and fact-checking) is the single thing that really annoys me about this site. When I write something at my job, you better believe that I fact check it and proof-read it before handing it in.
