Marvel announces a November premiere date in this Jessica Jones teaser

09.10.2015

Starring Krysten Ritter as the titular character, Marvel's Jessica Jones starts after a brief superhero stint gone wrong, following Jones as she attempts to rebuild her life as a private eye. Dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City, Jones will deal with all sorts of intriguing characters, including the likes of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), who is set to receive his on Netflix show down the road. For the time being, we now have a teaser trailer and premiere date for Jessica Jones: November 20th.

I think most people were surprised by how efficient Marvel was in bringing over a comic property to the Netflix format with Daredevil. Jessica Jones strikes me as the perfect property to follow the same treatment, as she's not exactly a stand-out character with the masses, but can serve as a gateway into bringing in other boys and girls of the Marvel realm (Luke Cage being one of them). It may not be as action packed as Daredevil, but I'm willing to bet we'll have a show just as interesting come November.

Jessica Jones will hit Netflix on November 20, 2015.

I didn't know who Jessica Jones was until a couple of years ago when I started reading the first few issues of the New Avengers and even then, I just thought she was the mother of Cage's child - not knowing that she had powers. It's been a while since I read the New Avengers so over time, I've even started calling her January Jones. Clearly I'm not all hyped up for this show but that doesn't mean I won't watch it and have enough faith in Marvel to know that I'll probably enjoy it.

I've only seen Krysten Ritter in a handful of roles and she hasn't really stood out in any of them, however Marvel had a whole slew of actresses that they considered for the role, so if they ended up casting hr then I trust that she sufficiently wowed them.

That being said, I'm most excited to see David Tennant as the Purple Man (who is one of the most BA villains in the entire Marvel Universe) great out of the box casting there.

Good teaser. Hope the quality is just as great as Daredevil, but is totally different in terms of scope and atmosphere. I mean, I want these series to have the same quality as one another, but different visions that make each character stand out within NYC or wherever.

I can't stand Krysten Ritter

Sorry but the moment she was cast, I lost all interest. Daredevil was fine for a tv show but they had a really good actor in the role. Krysten Ritter just annoys me.

I don't agree with Mecha...but you know what? I disagree with your reply to him even more. You don't like his opinion so he's automatically a "troll" to you?

That's how idiots and 16 year olds debate; they resort to petty name calling because they have an opposing view. You sound like a little shit and have the mentality of that said piece of shit.

Just a difference of opinion. Not a troll.

I think Ritter is absolutely drop dead gorgeous myself. I've only sen her play two characters though. She's always an air head valley girl, but yeah...she has that breaking bad performance which was aight. I hope she can handle the role.

kinda feel the same. Never really liked her, but still going to give the show a go. She might surprisingly be great in it.

That's pretty awesome, definitely David Mack inspired. It looks like the cover art of Alias brought to life.
