ABC has been plenty busy bringing Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter (as well as the upcoming Marvel's Most Wanted) to TV screens, but it looks like they'll be taking one yet another Marvel project. This time around it will be Cloak and Dagger for their young adult-themed channel, Freeform.

Cloak and Dagger will be a superhero love story following the titular duo – two teenagers who fall for each other while coming to grips with their own powers. Tyrone (Cloak) can create an aperture into the dimension of darkness used to teleport or to dispatch people while Tandy (Dagger) can create psionic "light daggers" which travel wherever she wills them. The two form a symbiotic relationship due to the fact that Cloak can feed off of Dagger's light, keeping his "hunger" at bay while also keeping her from becoming supercharged.

As of now, no writer has been attached, but it's destination on ABC's Freeform channel suggests that the show will be tailored for the young adult audience. I can't say that comic book TV shows have ever really captured my attention (outside of what Netflix has accomplished) but the premise here can be prove to be fruitful if done right.
