Mattthew Broderick gets in on Brett Ratner's Tower Heist

Bueller, we need you.

Matthew Broderick is joining Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Tea Leoni, Gabourey Sidibe and Michael Pena in Brett Ratner's TOWER HEIST.

Broderick has worked with Stiller before. In 1996, Stiller directed THE CABLE GUY starring Broderick and Jim Carrey. Now they get to share the screen time.

So what part will Broderick have in this film? He will play, "Chase Fitzhugh, a Wall Street guy who, like the building staff, had his finances cleaned out by the Bernie Madoff-like character played by Alda, who is under house arrest in the luxury penthouse apartment atop the building." Broderick has been spending a lot of his time on broadway, but has gone back and forth between television appearances and more low-key films.

It's always nice to see Broderick on-screen. This project is building a rather interesting cast. I can't help but wonder how it will all turn out. It could be something fun to watch or it could be something that plummets to new levels of suck.

Who out there is interested in this film?

Extra Tidbit: "The password is nipple." THE CABLE GUY is a great comedy and some awesome songs are on the soundtrack. One of them being "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand" by Primitive Radio Gods.
