McGregor joins Zellweger

Ewan McGregor will join Renee Zellweger in the romantic comedy DOWN
WITH LOVE for Peyton Reed (BRING IT ON) to direct. The film is hard to describe but
here goes nothing...basically it's a throwback to the Rock Hudson/Doris Day films of old.
It's a comedy in its own right but also spoofs the older films. For example,
there are scenes written into the script that take place in a car simply so that the
obviously fake background can spool by the car windows. Major plot details haven't
been revealed but the script has been referred to many times as being "twisted."
In any event, the film will take place in the 60s and McGregor will be playing the
role of ladies' man Catcher Block. The film will go in front of the cameras this May
after Zellweger finishes work on CHICAGO and after McGregor finishes his promotional work
for ATTACK OF THE CLONES.
