If you enjoyed Chris von Hoffmann's feature directorial debut DRIFTER, a sort of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN / MAD MAX / THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE / THE HILLS HAVE EYES mash-up that was released in theatres and on VOD back in February, you'll be glad to know that you won't have to wait very long to see his second movie. The director has already wrapped production on a horror thriller called MONSTER PARTY.

MONSTER PARTY follows

three teenaged thieves as they infiltrate a mansion dinner party, unaware that it is secretly being hosted by a serial killer cult for the social elite.

That's a rough situation to deal with, we've seen what murderous members of the elite can do in films like the HOSTEL and PURGE franchises, and it isn't pretty. But there is an "it could be worse" bright side these thieves should keep in mind – at least they didn't infiltrate a social elite party like the one at the end of SOCIETY.

The characters attending the MONSTER PARTY will be brought to life by quite an impressive cast. The film stars Sam Strike, Kian Lawley, Julian McMahon, Erin Moriarty (pictured above), Diego Boneta, Robin Tunney, Brandon Micheal Hall, Ginny Gardner, Chester Rushing, Jamie Ward, Bill Engvall, Mickey Gooch Jr., Sofia Castro, Logan Huffman, Howard Charles, and Lance Reddick.

MONSTER PARTY is being produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger of Automatik, Eric B. Fleischman of Diablo Entertainment, and Jesse Berger of Radical Studios.

Fleischman said this about the project:

I think Monster Party serves as a testament to not only Chris' ability to blend genres together (until they bleed) but a commentary on the growing social issues in today's society and just how violent some people actually are."

Funding was provided by Dark Web Productions, Exhibit Entertainment, and Kodiak Pictures. Fernando Loureiro, Roberto Vasconcellos, Maurice Fadida, Kyle Marcotte, Teddy Cabugos, Caleb Nelson, Mike Yedwab, and Mattson Tomlin serve as executive producers, with Brent C. Johnson co-producing.
