INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE is on a collision course with us, ready to be beamed down by patriotic alien fanatics. Although the release date is close, it's not quite here yet, so they've released another featurette to whet the appetite. In this clip, star Liam Hemsworth discusses his Space Tug. Get your mind out of the gutter, folks. It's a transport vehicle. Directed by Roland Emmerich, who also worked on the screenplay with Dean Devlin, James Vanderbilt, James A. Woods, and Nicolas Wright, this sequel twenty years in the making has the following synopsis: 

We always knew they were coming back.  After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale.  Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet.  But nothing can prepare us for the aliens' advanced and unprecedented force.  Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.

The cast also includes Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Judd Hirsch, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Joey King, Maika Monroe, DeObia Oparei, and Jessie Usher.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE will invade theaters on June 24, 2016.
