Strike Back below!
by: Omar Aviles Jan. 11, 2007

Two more pictures have leaked from the upcoming Michael Bay-directed action juggernaut TRANSFORMERS. The first, which is directly below, is of Decepticon leader Megatron and the second below that is a full-body look (we've featured about half of him once before) at Decepticon footsoldier Barricade. Perhaps it's intentional but Megatron is looking even more arachnoid and gangly than the rest. What do you guys think? TRANSFORMERS opens July 4th. [Via The Movie Blog]

What about Soundwave? He was ond of the "bigger" Decepticons but he transformed into a freakin stereo cassette player!

If Soundwave is in the sequel what would he turn into? An iPod? LOL.

dumb
These things look nothing like transformers. They look like big metal bugs that bear no discernable resemblance to their automobile forms. The twisted/braided metal look is really unappealing and distracting from the full form. I object. You hear me, Mr. Bay? I OBJECT!!!

can't wait

This movie is fresh and has a new look to the transformers' world, the idea is to make these robots transform realistically, it's cool now we can see how they actually transform in more detail if it's in reality rather than the cartoon which transform in miliseconds, not possible in reality if they exist.

If i can choose what Megatron will be form the cartoon, i rather see him transform as a big cannon on the ground like when he turn to Galbatron (i hope i spelled right), rather than into a gun that other transformers can shoot with.

I'm happy that Steven Speilberg and Michael Bay are doin this, can't wait for it to show, so guys give them a chance

Barricade is Ok but...
...I'm sorry but I don't like the design. They look cool sure, but not like Transformers.

Love the Bay!
I think this movie is going to be awesome. Mindless? Who cares. It's a movie. It's a movie by Michael Bay. It's going to feature two-ton robots duking it out, humans running screaming in all directions and gratuitous shots of shite exploding, and all I can say is Sign Me Up. Am I the only guy who loved the Island? - G

The funniest thing is
Transformers was a range of toys turned into a franchise. Its the ultimate exercise in commericalism. You can't get pissy about them changing a character when they did it in every cartoon. There are many versions of Megatron in Transformers lore. Robots from light years away that can transform into modern street vehicles is ridiculous shit anyway, so how can fans possibly get there Calvin's in...

Bay is the perfect guy to make this brainless popcorn chomping shite, and i'm looking forward to it. Lets hope this is more Rock and Bad Boys, than Armageddon and Bad Boys II, as he hasn't made a good leave your brain at home movie for 11 years.

Megatron
not trying to start an arguement or anything, but watching the cartoon now, Megatron was the same size as the rest of them, yet transformed into a gun that someone else could carry. that's pretty much lack of imagination, as it's impossible, illogical, and not threatening at all. I mean by himself, what would he lay on the ground shooting in a circle. I think he's the character they should take...

Megatron?
What really makes Megatron Megatron is the big ass cannon on his arm. Where is that? If it's not there it's not right. Perhaps all the leaked pics of Megatron is the Cybertron version of him, not the Earth version. At least that is what I keep hoping.

I'm not really a Transformers fan, but I do dig the concept of big-ass robots kicking the shit out of each other. I know that a lot of the hardcore Transformer fanboys have thrown hissy fits on account of how Megatron looks, but personally I think that all the robot design I've seen so far look cool as shit.

This movie will probably be fairly brainless, but IT'S GIANT ROBOTS DESTROYING SHIT... I mean... Surely any dude can appreciate that. And say what you will about Michael Bay, but the guy knows how to handle an action flick, and so far I'm impressed by what I see.
