Underworld 5

Like it or not, we're getting another UNDERWORLD movie, and according to Deadline, Bradley James (BBC's Merlin, iZombie) has been cast as one of the male villains in the fifth installment of the action horror series. James' other credits include turns in Homeland and 2012's FAST GIRLS, and he'll also star on the upcoming A&E series Damien.

There hasn't been that many details on the plot for UNDERWORLD 5, but it will reportedly focus on "a new and younger generation of vampires and werewolves who are locked in a seemingly never-ending battle between supernatural races." Kate Beckinsale will be back as Selene, while Theo James will reprise his role from the fourth film, and the movie will also feature the talents of Game of Thrones and Outlander actor Tobias Menzies as Marius, the new Lycan leader.

Anna Foerster is set to direct with a script by Cory Goodman (THE LAST WITCH HUNTER, PRIEST), and production is scheduled to begin next month in Prague. UNDERWORLD 5 will be in theaters on October 21, 2016.
