Michael Bay announces a rookie actor as Mark Wahlberg's costar for Transformers 4, 5, and 6!

Michael Bay made two surprising announcements today. The first is that he has cast a complete unknown opposite Mark Wahlberg in TRANSFORMERS 4. The other being that this new film is part one in a brand new trilogy of alien robot mega-destruction.
Take a minute and digest that because it is a lot to take in. Here is Michael Bay's statement directly from his official website: I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie WHAT RICHARD DID. This kid is the real deal.
Okay, so Bay has faith in the kid. From his IMDb page, Reynor has very little to his credit, the standout being a part on the short-lived Joss Whedon series DOLLHOUSE. Who knows, maybe the kid will surprise us all. But, Bay also goes on to give some plot details on TRANSFORMERS 4:
TRANSFORMERS 4, is not a reboot. That word has been floating around on the net. This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.
A new trilogy, eh? Well, Bay certainly has confidence in where these movies are going. But, he also had confidence in REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, which was total garbage. I will admit that DARK OF THE MOON was better than expected, but that is mostly due to the epic Chicago sequence. The 3D was distracting and I was beginning to tire of Shia's nervous twitching. So, we can look forward to a lot more TRANSFORMERS goodness to come.
Anything has to be better than REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, right? Right?
| Extra Tidbit: | No word on whether this locks Wahlberg in for all three new films or not. |

This is how to make a better Transformer movie......
I don't hate Michael Bay, just the mess that's been made of some classic characters.

Wow, i didnt want to do a 4th, but now i'll make a trilogy
Part 2, autobots lost the fight with the decepticons with many casualties and are now recovering, sending an emergency signal for all autobots to come to earth to aid them.
This time they defeat the decepticons and try to convince them to work together to stop unicron from destroying everything and that there will be nothing left for the decepticons to rule over.
Part 3, unicron approaches earth, all hell breaks loose.
Some points:
-give bumblebee a voice
-No, or much less dumb humor(in part one where megatron says: disgusting! and knocks a human away, that was fun)
-More robot interaction and screentime
-No teenage love stuff
-put in the quintessons somewhere
-Let some humans work with the robots like the headmasters
-All original cartoon voices, especially galvatron, unicron and starscream
I think I'm the only one....
What I was trying to say is, I never completely hated Fallen, as well as never thought Moon was much better than that. the whole trilogy had countless problems, but there were several moments of entertainment also. And as i was watching robots on robots action movies, the trilogy gave me more or less what I expected: completely dumb childish entertainment for couple of hours, and thats what I want for the new trilogy too. Well maybe more in line with T1 than the other two. Why take these sooo seriously?

For the love of god bay...
Be honest
I don't get the hate
This hate seems even more biased and solely directed towards Bay when I see the reactions here to the Pacific Rim trailers which look equally stupid.

Seriously, it has Jet pilots so dumb that they are going into close combat with machine guns. And when that oh so surprisingly doesn't work well humanity builds giant robots to metal fist punch Aliens which are immune to every other conventional military weapon. But hey, it is Del Toro, so lets praise that cheesy one liner filled bunch of crap while we keep shitting on the - dare I say it - more "grounded" Transformers movies just because they are done by Bay. You got to be kidding me.
I'm down
wait????
