Monaghan a MILF

08.09.2007

Michelle Monaghan has joined the cast of DJ Caruso's EAGLE EYE. Monaghan joins the already cast Shia LaBeouf and Rosario Dawson in the DreamWorks thriller. In the film, Monaghan will play a single mom who is forced to align with a teen (LaBeouf) after they are mistakenly pegged as terrorists and forced to join a team plotting the assassination of the president. DreamWorks set Caruso and LaBeouf on the project after the surprise success of DISTURBIA earlier this year, which helped make the young actor The Next Tom Hanks!!!. BTW, what's so bad about the real Tom Hanks that we're looking for replacements? Monaghan has THE HEARTBREAK KID with Ben Stiller coming this fall as well as the Ben Affleck directed GONE, BABY, GONE, where she'll presumably try on a Bahhston accent. She's currently filming MADE OF HONOR, a romantic comedy with Patrick Dempsey whose punny title is already making my blueberry muffin come back up in my throat. It's too early in the morning for bad romantic comedies. Filming on EAGLE EYE is expected to begin this fall after LaBeouf wraps production on INDIANA JONES 4.

Extra Tidbit: Monaghan starred in both CONSTANTINE and SYRIANA but was cut from both films during editing.

or despite her hotness factor, does she look just a little too much like Justine Bateman?

to "Skellington" and "stock"

I don't believe Sampson was actually saying LaBeouf was the next Tom Hanks, but rather was quoting/mocking an article from some popular magazine website. Hence the the italics and overuse of exclamation points.

Right on, Skellington. This kid has been sold to us like soda and popcorn, and no way has he earned this kind of praise. This must kind of hurt Colin Hanks a little. After all, he is the next Hanks.

Tom Hnaks is extremely talented and had to work hard to prove he could go from drama to comedies but he did it and his one of the most talented actor of his generation, one that will be remembered in 50 years. Shia Leboeuf is the flavour of the week, he will stay around but he aint that talented.
