Awesome!

Awesome new feature and a great scene to start off with. I just did a shot-by-shot analyzation of this scene for one of my film classes.

HailtotheTheif:
There are many interpretations of what is going on in Dirk's head, but the one I came up with (and found a lot of other similar ideas) was that he is having an epiphany. He sees what is going on and realizes that he has hit absolutely rock bottom after being at the top and he needs to get the hell out of there and clean up his life. (in

Me Gusta

Good call indeed. I'm really looking forward to this column.

I love this scene. But I can't figure out what is going on in Dirk's head during that long stare. Anyone?

Great feature

This is a great new feature, and starting out with a scene like that is genius. I love it.

I completely forgot what a golden gem this scene was. John C Reilly deserves better acting nods than the stuff that hes been getting alot lately people who do not know him act like hes under Will Farrel.

Alfred Molina is also very awesome in this scene.

Awesome

Great new feature, and great clip to showcase it with. This scene was an instant classic. I especially love John C. Reilly in it, how every fire cracker that goes off seems to scare the living crap right outta him. Also Thomas Jane is top notch throughout but especially near the end. Great acting, great writing, instense.....just great.
