Mr. Fox banners

Sep. 18, 2009by: Paul Tassi

Not to be outdone by its rival hipster re-imagining of a children's book, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, Wes Anderson's FANTASTIC MR. FOX has debuted its own set of character posters, equally as disconcerting as the WTWTA bunch.

I posted a few of them below, but I don’t think you'll be running out to tack them on your wall any time soon. They’re not…bad, but give me ten minutes with some production stills and photoshop and I’ll replicate them. But what’s really most distressing to me is Owen Wilson’s white (otter? ferret? yeti?) character, who I’m fairly certain is going to be haunting my dreams tonight.

Check them out below and click to head over to Empire for the other three.

Extra Tidbit: Is it weird that Mrs. Fox is kind of hot?

I have been excited about this show ever since I first heard about it. I think all of the characters are cute, especially Owen Wilson's. I love Wes Anderson's movies, so there's no doubt this film will be enjoyable. I watched the trailer and fell in love with it.

I read the book in school and loved it but this doesn't strike me as that good, maybe because i don't like wes anderson films but i don't think this will be any good.

Kinda creepy

Not sure I can watch these freaks move and speak...hard enough to look at the posters.

Love Wes but...

It seems like Wes is following everything Spike Jonze is doing with WTWTA. Children's book turned into a movie, check. Behind the scenes trailer about the making, check. Posters for each character, check. What's his next strategy... dating Michelle Williams?

Not Too Shabby!

I like it so far. Try to stare at Owen Wilson's character (The Whistle-Blower) without laughing - go ahead do it.

Nice

The trailer looks good. Wes rules man. I think The Darjeeling Limited was a fucking masterpiece and don't understand why it's not considered one of his classics up there with Tennenbaums and Rushmore. Check out new reviews @ [link] Sick Picks!!!!

Paul Tassi is a furrie lover.

Some really nice looking banners. You could do a lot worse then the taglines. for a kid's movie certainly. The recent smurfs poster comes to mind.

I love the look of this. I'm really looking forward to this.

One thing. I loved the book as a kid and the voice cast is great i only thought it should be british. That's always how they sounded in my head but whatever it still looks really good.

Although i'm still skeptical of George Clooney. I can't

Although i'm still skeptical of George Clooney. I can't seperate him from mister fox and that's really bugging me because it was my favourite book.

Great director, great look, it's fuckign stop motion but Goerge clooney just one small thing making a big difference for me. Sigh.
