Mr. T not a fan of the new A-Team movie

UPDATE – Mr. T, as it turns out, has not seen THE A-TEAM and certainly did not say any of the quotes below. Turns out someone just made that shit up (which seems highly unethical at best). Whether Mr. T does like sex and violence remains to be seen. Read the statement from Mr. T’s representative here.

Mr. T has seen the new A-TEAM movie and apparently pities the poor fools who are going to sit in the audience when it hits theaters this Friday. Mr. T wasn’t a fan of the film at all but instead of getting wrapped up in the acting, directing or writing, T aims his criticism at an unlikely target: the violence. Says T, “People die in the film and there’s plenty of sex.” OK now get to the reasons why the film wasn’t good. “It was too graphic for me.” Oh. Those were the reasons why T didn’t like the film.

Turns out that despite his macho demeanor Mr. T is an old softy who isn’t down with sex and violence. “When we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.” As a guy who runs a site who ran a video yesterday with a guy ripping the head off another guy and topless photos of Lindsay Lohan, I’m not one to talk about our desensitization toward sex and violence. But this is all Mr. T’s prerogative as I’m sure there are a few people out there who will love A-TEAM precisely because of the sex and violence.
