MY SISTER'S KEEPER

The first trailer for the Nick Cassavetes directed drama MY SISTER'S KEEPER is online and boy, does it pack a serious dramatic punch. They're not dicking around. They're going right for the gut. Someone almost dies like three times in the trailer alone. In it, Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric star as a couple who genetically engineer a daughter in order to help donate organs to their ailing, cancer stricken "real" daughter but when engineered daughter finds out, she sues them. Then tons of emotional stuff happens in between. Check out the trailer below. The film opens June 26th. Check it out in HD over HERE.

Extra Tidbit: Dakota Fanning was originally slated to star but backed out when she learned the part required her to shave her head.

I actually read the book a while back and envisioned Dakota and Elle Fanning for the roles. Oh, well.

What's weird, though, is that most of what's in the trailer is not in the book. Coupled with the fact that the ending has been changed, I'm interested in seeing the movie because it'll feel like a new experience and not just me sitting there watching a retread of the book.

Yeah

That trailer made me cry! I am not a big fan of Cameron Diaz's though. She can't act! Would have liked to see someone else play the mom. Going to have to read the book now.

This looks really good.

PS: What the heck does Dakota Fanning think cancer-stricken means?
