Nathan Fillion to cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy, plus new Empire covers

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Sorry guys, but that rumor you may have seen circulating online over the weekend about Nathan Fillion playing Nova Prime in James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY isn't true. Gunn debunked the rumor on his twitter, however it doesn't mean the Serenity star won't be appearing in the director's new movie. James Gunn later tweeted Nathan Fillion will have a "fun cameo" in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.

While I'm excited Nathan Fillion will appear in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, I was really hoping he would have a bigger role in Marvel's Cinematic Universe than just a "fun cameo." Doesn't mean he won't be able to play a different character or have a larger part in a future film, but I'm slightly disappointed he hasn't been able to land a bigger part in the MCU.

With that out of the way, let's check out Empire's new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY covers. One gives us yet another look at the superhero team, however the second cover features the villains appearing in the upcoming Marvel movie, including possibly the best look yet at Lee Pace's Ronan the Accuser.

Check out the a-holes:

James Gunn's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will open on August 1, 2014.
