Netflix conjures a full trailer & poster for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Something wicked is coming to Netflix, and all of your preconceived notions about "the good witch next door" are about to go up in a puff of smoke. Today, the streaming giant has summoned a full trailer for CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, along with a new poster to get fans of the character even more excited about venturing into a world where Satan reigns supreme and dark magics loom within every shadow of Greendale.

Here's the official synopsis for the upcoming season of CHILLING ADVENTURES OFSABRINA:

The origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature  – half-witch, half-mortal  – while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

In the new trailer, fans finally get to see that CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA plans to go all in on representing the character's dark dealings with the occult. It's a far cry from 1990s original series starring Melissa Joan Hart, that's for sure. I mean, we're no longer dealing with talking cats and hapless hi-jinks here, my friends. No, no, no. We're talking demons, spells cast in revenge, a dark order hellbent on extinguishing Sabrina's mortal tendencies, blood, guts, betrayel, and a Greedale unlike you've ever seen. Honestly, you might want to head to your local apothecary before you indulge, and keep a bundle of sage nearby for burning.

CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA stars Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot, and Gavin Leatherwood. RIVERDALE showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics, penned the script for the series. Aguirre-Sacasa executive produces alongside Riverdale collaborators Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater and Lee Toland Krieger.

I have it on good authority that you're not going to want to miss this one, so be sure to check out CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA when it casts a spell over viewers on Netflix on October 26th.
