Netflix releases first teaser for their Marvel's Luke Cage series

03.18.2016

There's a pot of gold waiting for you at the end of the rainbow once you've completed your binging of DAREDEVIL Season Two, and it comes in the form of the first LUKE CAGE teaser which autoplays for viewers as soon as DAREDEVIL comes to an end.

The teaser is ever so brief, and, if you have a Netflix subscription, you can find it HERE, but it involves Mike Colter's title character bothered by the fact that bad guys are always tearing up his clothes with bullet holes.

It's hardly enough to gauge how the series is going to go as a whole, but there is one badass logo that does come up, and if that is the barometer - What the hell? It's all we've got to go on for now - then we've got something cool on our hands for later this year.

LUKE CAGE Season One will be available on Netflix on September 30.

I can't say I was a total fan of the way Daredevil season 2 went. They teased this big showdown with the Punisher and the most we ever got from that were a series of disappointing skirmishes. They also managed to completely sideline the Punisher in a boring court case that lasted three or four episodes when they could have done something more interesting with him. Why didn't they build up the meeting between the Punisher and Daredevil? The two immediately clash in the first episode and there's

I hope Luke Cage is a refreshing change of pace from where they went with Daredevil.

I think they portrayed the Punisher beautifully in the second season. In the grand scale of events, its showing the side of fighting crime Daredevil takes and the side The Punisher takes. They can't just show scenes of Frank Castle blowing people away without consequences. The second season also gives us a better look at Matt doing his real job as a Lawyer and not just always fighting on the streets. If you'r easily detoured on some interesting story telling than this series obviously isn't for

What you call interesting story-telling is your subjective opinion, nothing more. Likewise, my opinion that the story-telling element was lacking this season is my subjective opinion, nothing more. I never said my opinion was the be-all-end all authority on the subject of this show, so please stop acting like a little butt-hurt fanboy whenever someone dares to criticize a show that you like.

DD season 2 spoilers ahead...be warned :o)

For what it's worth, as I butt in to this little spat, my opinion thus far, having only reached episode 7, is that the Punisher's introduction to the MCU is being handled brilliantly - from the frantic start where he comes in killing people left right and centre, the DD showdowns, his downfall and capture and the current on going court case. I'm absolutely hooked right now and am only being held back from wrapping up the remaining episodes by my

I'm absolutely hooked right now and am only being held back from wrapping up the remaining episodes by my son who wants to watch them with me. The Punisher isn't the Kingpin who works in the shadows and can be a 'villian' that can last a whole season doing his thing. Any character who does the whole guns blazing thing will most likely be captured as quickly as Frank was. I don't know how the remaining episodes will unfold but like I said, I'm loving it.

For a tame rebuttal, it doesn't take you long to get fired up huh psycheoutsteve. It's more of a "subjective opinion". It's from reading reviews and talking to a lot of people (comic fans and new ones alike), that have said similar things. Also, boring court cases may arise from time to time considering he is a Lawyer and the TV show is called, Daredevil and not The Punisher, so the focal point or build up should never be on Castle.

That's the first time I've been called a butt-hurt fanboy,

That's the first time I've been called a butt-hurt fanboy, so I thank you. I could careless of who bashes any comic book film/show on here, considering so many do so well behind keyboards.

For all your supposed civility, you're just another snarky little snide-ass who wants to preach to those whose opinions differ from your own. The reviews for this season have not been as stellar as the last and merit more criticism. I made a criticism and you chalk it up to me not being able to grasp what good storytelling is.Thanks for the shitty assumption about my intelligence, but I'm going to go ahead and ignore it. This is the last response you're getting.

What happens if one of those bullets got his eye though? Just saying...it's unbreakable skin... not eyes. Always bothered the nitpicking side of my personality that as Stark exits the cave in Iron Man, not one bullet from the ensuing gun fire managed to enter the eye holes of Stark's Mark 1 suit :o)

do you know how accurate guns are when you're spraying and praying like those Ten Rings mofo were doing. like not very. probably only 5% of the bullets they were shooting were hitting him. spread that 5% across 100% of his body and the chances of not going in his eye hole are pretty good.

I don't actually know how accurate guns are but if i was Cage, knowing my luck...they'd get lucky. With that in mind, I'd probably go in with my eyes closed, opening one whenever there's a pause in gunfire to see if I can start punching.

What about that scene from '21 Days Later', where the drop of blood falls from the rafters into the old man's eye... not so lucky on the odds for him.

21 Days Later is a good example but what happen's if those guys were fans of Brimstone and upon realising the shots to the Cage's body and speedbag weren't working think's he's an escaped hell prisoner and decides to aims for the eyes. It's all fun and stuff until someone loses an eye, eh? :o)
