New action-packed clip from Thor: The Dark World takes flight with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston

Oct. 23, 2013by:

Kind of a Marvel-ous day for news as we've gotten a nice helping of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and THOR: THE DARK WORLD bits to keep our comic book genre fans happy. Of course, that's most of us these days, so that's okay. Plus, you have to expect the awareness to ramp up anytime a Marvel flick is about to open, as is the case with THOR. Today, we have another clip from the film, featuring "brothers" Thor and Loki piloting a ship in Asgard, while being chased. It's kind of like Norse Star Wars.

Take flight:

THOR: THE DARK WORLD has seen a number of reviews trickling in, almost resoundingly positive, but with minor quibbles. Seems like those that didn't care for it still can't seem to hate it outright and I think that's a testament to the care and passion put into it from stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and director Alan Taylor, as well as the rest of the cast and crew. At this point, I'm just waiting for my turn to have a look...

THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens on November 8, 2013.

Excited for this but still wish Loki weren't in it. Guy's had way too much screen time...

It's ultimately marvels movie

Everyone always hear stories of directors bitching about the studio giving notes on things that works and don't. In most cases they are annoying and from people who don't know much and just want the input, but in marvels case they are creating a whole universe where every film exists so a even closer eye must be kept for continuity so there is going to be more notes than there usually is. If you're the type of director that wants to make your own movie then working for this studio won't be for

If you're the type of director that wants to make your own movie then working for this studio won't be for you and realize that before you take the job and not bitch about it afterward. That's been a problem with WB because how does a Snyder superman fit in the same universe as Nolan's batman or Reynolds green lantern, they don't and that because WB didn't take the time like marvel has and planned it out and reign in their filmmakers universes.
