New Alice in Wonderland featurette and sketch

The marketing campaign behind ALICE IN WONDERLAND seems to be heavily focused on churning out a great number of featurettes and behind the scenes looks at the film that they release every “Wonderland Wednesday.” Well, here we are once again, and we’ve got two new things to share this week.

The first is a concept sketch, courtesy of UGO, which shows how closely the original Burton Tweedledee and Tweedledum ideas match the finished product in the film. In fact, the entire movie seems to me to be a bunch of child-like sketches brought to life. I don’t say that as an insult per se, but it does make for an…interesting look. After that we have a brand new, short featurette which explores Alice’s character motivations a little bit, and clues us in as to why exactly she’s wearing a full suit of armor in the trailer. This whole thing has a bit of a NARNIA vibe to me.
