New Daybreakers pics | Movie News

Even though the first couple of weeks in January and August are generally known as "dump weeks" from Hollywood, something about the January 8th release of DAYBREAKERS is telling me to go see it.

First of all, it starts Ethan Hawke and features a 2019 society in which the entire world population has been transformed into vampires (and not the "glittering" kind either). Kewl! Secondly, our man Chris Bumbray caught an early screening of it back in September and gave it quite a positive review. And lastly (and I know this is kind of lame but...), I like how they're selling this movie on the Internet: cool clips, interesting viral sites (CaptureHumans.com, VampireRecruiter.com, etc...) and tons of new pictures, all of which you can see below. Oh, and it co-stars Willem f*ckin' Dafoe! Will you be checking the film out?

Extra Tidbit: Ethan Hawke was the original choice to play FBI Agent Will Graham in RED DRAGON, but turned it down to take time off from making movies. The role eventually went to Edward Norton.
