Disney has uploaded a series of desktop wallpapers for their upcoming BRAVE to the official website for the film. There are 11 characters in total. While we have seen all of them in the trailers released so far, this is the first time we are getting the names to go with the images.

BRAVE tells the story of the courageous princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald), the skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

I have seen each and every Pixar film, the last two with my children.  The monkey in TOY STORY 3 scared the crap out of them and they blindly loved CARS 2 because they are five and three year olds.  I am very excited to take them to see BRAVE in the theater, but the film does look a little darker than any prior Pixar offering.

BRAVE opens in theaters on June 22nd.

Extra Tidbit: In a prior article, I was criticized for saying that BRAVE was looking like a Miyazaki film. I simply meant that it was nice to see the quality and originality on display in the Japanese master's films used in a mainstream American production.

I'm yet to be let down by Pixar.
Some movies I liked more than others of course...but all Pixar movies were fun.
