New Expendables 2 banner is just begging to be on your Facebook Timeline

3 years agoby:

THE EXPENDABLES 2 has been kind of a marketing machine since the first images and video began rolling out.  Now with viral sites, character posters, and this pretty sweet banner, the gears are grinding full tilt boogie.  I've seen the mega-standee of the film at my theater and it's pretty impressive as well.  However, the new banner isn't exactly chopped liver and is ready for you to make it your desktop background, Facebook timeline pic, or you could photoshop your head on one of the pictured lads and pass it off as your yearbook photo.  Whatever floats your boat.

Here it is:

And here's the synopsis once again:

The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

THE EXPENDABLES 2 stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Liam Hemsworth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger and opens on August 17, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: One of my favorite Lundgren films from back in the day was I Come In Peace. What's your favorite oft-forgotten gem by The Expendables crew?

Agree with most of my fellow schmoes' choices....

But had to add one more:
IDIOCRACY! Not necessarily an all-out movie by any of The Expendables, but Terry Crews as the MACHINE GUN-WELDING PORN SUPERSTAR WRESTLER Who is also THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES (Fuck Yeah!!!) totally made the movie for me. And that ASS movie, offcourse.

Stallone - Assassins; if it wasn't for Antonio Banderas I don't think i would have enjoyed it that much
Dolph Lundgren - Its a tie between I Come In Peace & Joshua Tree
JCVD - Death Warrant; I found that movie scary as shit! "WELCOME TO HELL!!" :D
Arnie - Raw Deal; not necessarily forgotten but fondly memorable
Chuck - Delta Force stands out for me
Jet Li - A tie between My Father Is a Hero (My first!), Bodyguard From Beijing & KOTD (forgotten how kickass that movie was);
Terry Crews -

Terry Crews - Any (terrible) comedy with him in it is ALWAYS enjoyable; Especially when he does an over-the-top parody of a badass! I don't care what anyone says, Terry is really underrated.
Bruce Willis - Blind Date; No seriously, because I wouldn't call any of his action-films forgettable.. Well, except maybe Striking Distance.

Lundgren: Red Scorpion
Van Damme: Lionheart
Schwarzenagger: (not popular, just one of my faves) Twins
Stallone: No film by him has been forgotten by me.. but I always recommend giving First Blood, Cliffhanger, Over the Top, and Cop Land a watch again.

Extra Tidbit for top guys...

Schwarzenegger: RAW DEAL (Very underrated and Arnie was badass!)
Stallone: CLIFFHANGER (It is kinda popular but not enough in my opinion, awesome flick)
Willis: THE LAST BOYSCOUT (I argue constantly that this is not only one of Bruce's best performances but also one of the top action comedies ever made alongside LETHAL WEAPON. And both were written by Shane Black).

The Last Boy Scout is classic, I don't give a shit what anyone says. Shane Black, Tony Scott, and Bruce Willis all in top form.
