New Goofy short

If you're a fan of old school Disney animation like I am, you'll be happy to know that they've returned to 2-D animated shorts that will run before theatrical releases. The first in this new line was a return to the classic Goofy "How To" videos from the golden days, "How to Hook Up Your Home Theater." It originally premiered in front of NATIONAL TREASURE 2 but is just coming online now. For something so simple, I have to say I laughed out loud a few times. I'm sure there are a lot of you out there who can empathize with Goofy's inability to get all his gadgets working. Check it out below!

Extra Tidbit: Look for the animated cameos of Walt Disney and John Lasseter.

Ditto. I've mentioned it a few times but John Lasseter is the brains behind Disney's decision to go back to old hand-drawn style and develop new pictures for Disney. The Princess and The Frog movie I believe was also chosen by Lasseter to be hand-drawn which looks to be a great move. I hope they start developing more Shorts like these.

Oh Yeah and he was the one who pushed for the developement of Tron 2. Even better.

John Lasseter

Give the man credit: he said he was going to try to bring Disney back to its roots and his name appears as an executive producer. He certainly seems to be succeeding in bringing back some of the past glory of Walt Disney cartoons. I enjoyed this and think the animation department is now in the right hands under John Lasseter. (Pixar owns Disney now.)

Anyone else notice that the music was composed by Michael Giacchino, who was responsible for the music in The Incredibles and Ratatouille? I

I saw this before NT2, awhile back...I was hoping it would be on the DVD. The short is awesome, I thought it was better then the older ones...Thank you disney...I actually enjoyed it more then NT2 (which I did wind up mildly liking unlike most people)

Hilarious

I LOVED the old school "how to" goofy shorts as a kid ... How to "Dance" and "play Baseball" were two of personal favs ... and I was stoked to see Disney getting back to its 2D roots :)

Anybody else catch the signed picture John Goodman on his shelf .... the whole short is hilarious :)

That was awesome! I love the classic disney shorts, and the "How to" series with Goofy were some of the best. Glad to see Disney going back to their roots.

Great move, Disney! Brought a wonderful sense of nostalgia, and was pretty funny, to boot!
