New image from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and when to expect the next trailer

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Before the first film was released, many people compared THE HUNGER GAMES to the TWILIGHT series. It's probably an unfair comparison (more so for THE HUNGER GAMES), but with how well the first film performed in theaters I think it's obvious that even though the two series may share some similarities, THE HUNGER GAMES has its own identity and people really enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss.

Most fans of the books and film are just as rabid as Twi-hards, and after the teaser for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE was released, many have been anxiously waiting for news on a full trailer. Yahoo! Movies has a new exclusive photo from the upcoming film (featuring Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket) plus news that the a trailer will be shown on Saturday at SDCC.

"Lot of flippin' good that does me; I'm not at Comic-Con! Thanks for rubbing it in!" is probably what you're yelling at the screen, but the good news is the trailer will be released online immediately after at 1:35 p.m. PT on Saturday. But before you start celebrating, think about THE HUNGER GAMES fans who probably paid a shit ton of money to see exclusive things about the film, and one of those things will be exclusive for about as long as it takes Yahoo!'s tech guy to upload the new trailer onto the site. Kind of lame when you think about it.

Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Amanda Plummer, Jeffrey Wright, and Alan Ritchson, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be in theaters on November 22nd, 2013.

I'm excited for it and I'll admit it.

The most movie was not spectacular but was a totally solid film, and even if the director is a step down I'm excited to see this.

Since when do poor people dress in designer clothes?

At least the trailer makes it look a lot better than the first.

After winning the last hunger games neither Peeta or Katniss is poor anymore.

Why are they trying to make Jennifer Lawrence look as ugly as possible.

I find it pretty overrated but comparing it to Battle Royal is SOOO tired & played out.

You'll probably be the first to mention Smurfs in the next Avatar thread...

tsk tsk boys, wasnt trying to campare movies, and no, the whole smurfs/avatar thing never crossed my mind. i guess it was you who came up with that first Little Boat. and battle royale was a better movie, not the same story, but the whole kids fighting for survival against one another is the only comparison. frankly i like the running man since we are comparing "fight for you life survival" movies. i love these debates, bring it on Ho Boat

The art direction for the first movie was all over the place - the movie did not have a cohesive look. Rural Tennessee meets, distopian future, meets star wars, meets gay Wizard of Oz. Looks like they're having the same problem above.

Not sure why you got so much hate for saying this. Its a fair point. I feel the first movie was a cookie cutter adaptation at best.
