New Indy 4 pic!

01.15.2008

Guess who's first in line at the grand opening of the new Indiana Jones ride? Why, it's the good doctor himself, along with his son The Beef (and sidekick Ray Winstone)!

Nah, it's actually another official photo from INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, which is barely four months away from hitting theaters. And we haven't even seen a teaser trailer yet! What's up with that, Mr. Spielberg? Saving it for the Super Bowl?

For those of you criticizing the photo, take a look at some of the details in regards to the lighting. There is a harsh white light coming from the direction of where the photographer is located, which would negate a lot of the actual lighting used for filming. One must consider the option that this was a rehearsal, especially since Ford and Winstone are looking directly at the photographer.

todays audiences will kill this indy

I think it looks cool, but it's been YEARS since weve seen a new Indy and people will forget what it's all about.
I can see backlash on Joblo and AICN because the movie isn't epic enough, not enough action and too many stupid jokes or the sets looking too much like sets.

Unfortuantely, these are the people who bitch at current movies for being this way (Transformers) and beg for the old school, but when Indy brings it, the modern audience has been so drained by shitty CGI action movies

Indy is about the goofy humor and over-the-top sets and props (the dinner in Temple of Doom) and people are probably going to be walking into this one thinking its going to be epic and serious and when Shia cracks the first joke I can just picture the Harry Knowles wannabe cringing in his seat, preparing for what he's going to write when he gets back home.

Maybe I'm just paranoid though...

What's with people criticizing stills from an unfinished movie? There's color correction to do and also the pics might not even be from the actual film but set pics.

The older Ford looks the more excited I am about this, because it means it'll have a different vibe, it's a fresh take.

I'm tired of action heroes not aging and if this is a success it could start a trend. (Not like Sly's sequels, an older charachter just doing exactly the same stuff he had done in the previous movies)

i'm geting less and less excited about this movie the more it advance ands the more stills we get. every actor in it looks great except for fordy. do't get me wrong i'm pretty excited but images like this don't evoke much confidence. and tsukasa13 is right most pictures we've seen so far look ilke really really cheesy sets. here's hoping it's better than it looks and with ray winestone i'm pretty damn hopeful.

While that may look like a set, go back to the other Indy's there was always that air of cheese there that was usually settled with good lighting. I find this with a lot of "stills" without final colour correction a lot of sets look pretty bad. So I come up strictly on the "Yay! Indy!" side of this. Though those last interviews with Lucas and Speilberg makes me really fear the fact that Indy is almost 100% going to be fighting Giant CGI bugs...

wow...

Could that look more like a set?

How about getting some lighting in there, and toning down the Wal Mart holloween spider webs. Oh, and getting Shia out of there wouldn't hurt, either ;)

Yes, I also got that.. it's definitely a set vibe, but I'm still feeling giddy for this film :)

I dunno...

I'm really pumped for the next installement but for some reason the surrounding set in the pic kinda throws me off a little. It looks like a set.

Damn Harrison Ford looks old in picture. I don't care though, I'm still pumped for this flick!
