New Indy pic

04.17.2008

USA Today have themselves a brand new picture from the upcoming INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL. As you can see above, it's the time warp scene of the movie, where Indy peers into the crystal skull and sees what he will look like in a couple of years. Yep, I've written way too much about this flick, and the only weapon I have left in my arsenal is a half-assed elderly joke. I'm sorry.

There's also a sweet article that goes with the picture, wherein Harrison Ford why he is such a badass, and also touches on... dare I say it... A fifth film? Hopefully - his words not mine - it won't take 20 years to pull together. Head on over to USA Today to check it all out. Not in the article: what styling product holds Labeouf's hair up like that.
Extra Tidbit: When was the last time arguably the two most anticipated films of the year began with the letter I?

Same Footage

The trailer and a few TV spots have showed mostly the same footage which could be either good or bad. So for now I'm going to wait, maybe see it on DVD...YEAH RIGHT! Opening Day, I'm there.

I agree everyone is gonna see it no matter what, but I don't agree with the defense of one trailer. Granted many trailers spoil much of the movie, but judging from the past, Spielberg and Lucas are pretty smart as to what and what not to show in a trailer and still wet your whistle. The fact that so little has been shown with just under a month to go is kinda odd. Sure we all want to see it, but what about the new generations of possible fans? Some kids graduating high school weren't even born

meh

There's something missing with the marketing. I should be excited, but I'm not.

Concerning promotion

I just wanna say that I am happy that there has only been a (approximately) a minute of actual new footage. As much as I LOVE trailers, I think there is plenty of awareness and excitement for Indy 4. If Raiders was made today I guarantee you the trailer would spoil all the best moments. It'd show a shot of the boulder, the sun hitting the staff of ra, Indy dragging behind the truck by his whip, the cobra, Indy on top of the U-Boat, and definitely a shot of the nazi's get hit with a bolt of

People know this movie is coming out.

Trust me. : )

No More Indy Trailers!

I prefer that they haven't shown any more of the flick in new trailers. Who needs it? Everyone is going to see it anyways, so why not just send out a bare bones trailer to get people movin'. Too many trailers give too much plot or the movie's best jokes. Less is more my friends.

These Indy pictures have been pretty boring thus far. I'm not getting hyped at all from what I've seen of the new Indy.

Anyone else weirded out by the fact there's only been ONE trailer for this, which, in case anyone missed it (heh), only showed maybe a minute of new footage and over thirty seconds of clips from the other movies? No chance in hell am I missing this movie, but still, there's an overwhelming lack of promotion this far. Even Phantom Menace had more trailers in this such of the game....
