We only got a glimpse of the Indominus Rex's (also known as D-Rex) legs in the first JURASSIC WORLD trailer, but some new pieces of promo art have landed online featuring the hybrid dinosaur. While it's not a great picture, it does provide us with the best look yet at the creature. If you want to check out the dino that will be responsible for most of the running and screaming in JURASSIC WORLD, scroll past the Chris Pratt image below.

Nasty looking f*cker, isn't he (or she)? As for details on the dinosaur, it's been previously reported that it was created by splicing together T-Rex, raptor, snake, and cuttlefish DNA, and it has instant camouflage abilities. Although I wasn't happy to learn a genetically modified dino will be in JURASSIC WORLD, I've warmed up to the idea, and I definitely can't wait to see it in action.

A new trailer for the Colin Trevorrow directed movie will debut during the Super Bowl on February 1, so there's a chance we could be getting an even better look at the dinosaur in the very near future. What are your thoughts on the Indominus Rex?

JURASSIC WORLD will be in theaters June 12, 2015.

Dinosaurs are fictional beasts so why do people get caught up in how they are portrayed. It's like getting upset over super heroes.

Cool

I'very always thought the idea of a genetically modified Dino was cool (since humans always want to "play God"). It's the pet raptors that I'm not very excited about...

They couldn't be bothered to add pterodactyl DNA to create a Flyannosaurus Rex? That's just lazy.

An important detail most people overlook, forget or simply don't even know, is that in the novel, Michael Chricton makes it clear that none of the dinosaurs are actually "real" dinosaurs. Meaning they're ALL genetically modified creatures made to look like a specific species of dinosaurs. So this new hybrid creature shouldn't upset anybody since all the dinos from the Jurassic Park universe have always been genetically modified or enhanced animals. The normies mean the dinos which "resemble" actual ones. Ofcourse they're all modified, as per the novel. But if I'm not mistaken, they didn't use amphibian DNA for all species in the novel. Did they? Like only specific ones like the raptors, compys and a bunch of herbivores were able to breed.

It's not that it isn't a real dinosaur. However, why are they creating such a dangerous dinosaur like that in the first place?

Albino?

Looks a little odd, I'm just glad it isn't part cyborg or anything... part of me was afraid we'd get a dinobot or some shit

Looks cool, still not sure about how it will play out in the movie. I would have been fine with the t-Rex, raptors, and a few other real dinos. Cool to hear about the camouflage abilities, I liked that in the lost world book and always wanted to see it onscreen.

Didn't know what to expect. Was afraid that it would be pretty over the top, but that doesn't look so bad.
